*Use the Name of Jesus (Part 2)* _By Archbishop Charles Agyinasare_ _Day 31 (31/01/2025)_ > *_Philippians 2:9-10 (NKJV) "Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow..."_* When Jesus completed His earthly ministry, as He departed to be with the Father, He gave to His Church two main things to take His place in the earth: His Name and the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the most preeminent person on the earth and in the Church today. However, even He, was sent in the name of Jesus (John 14:26). This shows how preeminent the name of Jesus also is and must be in our lives. Here are three ways the Church must use the name of Jesus: 1. *Preach the Name.* Acts 8:12 (NKJV) says "But when they believed Philip as he preached the things concerning the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, both men and women were baptized." Many pseudo-Christian groups do not preach Jesus or in His name, but as true believers we are ordained to preach the truth. It is preaching about the Kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ that brings salvation and deliverance to people. There will be no power in our ministry and message without the Name. 2. *Cast out demons.* Acts 16:18 (NKJV) says "And this she did for many days. But Paul, greatly annoyed, turned and said to the spirit, “I command you in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her.” And he came out that very hour." Our ministry as believers involves the casting out of devils afflicting our lives, families and others. Know that behind every evil condition is a spirit, but when we have a revelation of the name of Jesus, we wield the authority to overcome these unseen forces. 3. *Heal the sick.* Acts 3:6 (NKJV) says "Then Peter said, “Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.” We have the power in the name of Jesus to command the healing of diseases since everything bows to His name. To be able to exercise that power in His name effectively, we must build up faith in His name through the study of the Word and engaging in regular prayer and fasting. _Precious one, believe that Jesus has given you authority to minister in His name; therefore, preach the Name, heal the sick and cast out demons._ *Prayer:* _Heavenly Father, grant me grace to minister the Word in boldness to the lost and to heal the sick, and cause signs and wonders to follow me, in Jesus’ name.
