*What is the Status of Your Foundation?* _By Archbishop Charles Agyinasare_ _Day 37 (06/02/2025)_ > _Psalm 11:3 “If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?” _ The Leaning Tower of Pisa in Italy was on the verge of collapse because the beautiful edifice sat on a foundation that was only 10 feet deep. Quite significantly, the word "pisa" means "marshy land," which gives some clue as to why the tower began to lean even before it was completed. Today, the Leaning Tower of Pisa is now stable and has actually been straightened slightly thanks to restoration work. Scientists were able to keep the tower from a great fall because they discovered its weak foundation and corrected it. What is the status of your foundation in your faith, your relationships, and your career? Just like the Leaning Tower of Pisa, we have to keep it in mind that for everything we do to be successful, we must seek to build a firm foundation for it because, a weak foundation will inevitably lead to a weak structure, whereas a foundation that is deep and solid will ensure stability of the structure. Here are three ways to build a solid foundation: 1. *Check the kind of friends you keep.* We need to surround ourselves with Christian friends if we seek to build a solid Christian foundation, and we need to have a solid Christian community to build our foundations in Christ Jesus. God did not create us to walk this life alone; but He wishes for us to build relationships with other believers in order that we teach, build up, rebuke, and correct each other. The Bible says in 1 Thessalonians 5:11 (NIV), “Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing”. 2. *Find a mentor and accountability partner.* The Bible says in James 5:16, “Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed.” This is an important exercise. A mentor and accountability partner is a strong Christian that is older than you, and that can teach you God’s word and hold you accountable. This is someone who can pour into you and guide you as you walk through life. Such a person can direct you to get the right materials for a solid foundation. 3. *Spend time with God in His word and prayer.* If we are going to grow deeper in our faith and have a strong foundation, we must spend time building a relationship with the Lord. This means having a quiet time with the Lord and making it a priority in our lives. In Romans 12:2 (NKJV) scripture says, “And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.” _Precious one, without a solid foundation, failure is certain. Start working on your solid foundation today._ *Prayer:* _Heavenly Father, help me build a stronger foundation in all areas of my life, in Jesus’ name. Amen._ *Cross References:* Isaiah 28:16 Matthew 7:24 1 Corinthians 3:11 _Join my WhatsApp and Facebook broadcast channels for more insights and life-changing information:_ *WhatsApp:* https://whatsapp.com/channel/0029VaDR57i8F2p9KGQQdf1C *Facebook:* https://m.me/j/AbYGVDBGVG4mwk4K/
