*Seek the Lord* *By Archbishop Charles Agyinasare* _Day 49 (18/02/2025)_ > _1 Chronicles 16:11 "Seek the LORD and his strength, seek his face continually."_ “To have found God and still to pursue Him is the soul’s paradox of love” — A. W. Tozer Having met a person for the first time or having known a person for a long time does not guarantee that you know all about the person. There is more to God, and there are deeper things of God into which we must press by seeking Him. Seeking the Lord is a daily affair which must be pursued by every believer. It is in the Lord that we live and move and have our being; therefore, we must continually seek Him in prayer and constantly lay up His words in our heart. Here are three ways of seeking the Lord: 1. Forsake evil ways. Isaiah 55:7 "Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon." God cannot be partners with evil. Evil ways and thoughts will separate you from Him and ultimately prevent you from seeking Him. Therefore, forsake evil and worldly ways and thoughts if you want to seek the Lord. 2. Search for Him with all your heart. Jeremiah 29:13 "And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart." Partially seeking God with your heart will yield no results. He wants you to search for Him with all your heart. Search for Him like the way you search for your lost treasure. Nothing else can be more important than God in your heart that will hinder you from seeking God continually. 3. Being humble and submissive to God. Zephaniah 2:3 (NKJV) "Seek the Lord, all you meek of the earth, Who have upheld His justice. Seek righteousness, seek humility. It may be that you will be hidden In the day of the Lord’s anger." The proud cannot seek God because the rigidity of their hearts will not allow them to do so. God loves those who are meek and submissive. So, in this scripture, you will observe that the call to seek the Lord is given to those who are meek in heart. _Precious one, seek the Lord by forsaking evil ways, searching for Him with all your heart and being humble and submissive to God._ *Prayer:* _Heavenly Father, I beseech You to unveil more of Yourself to me as I seek You, Lord, in Jesus’ name.
