*Plan Ahead of Time* _By Archbishop Charles Agyinasare_ _Day 55 (24/02/2025)_ > _Proverbs 24:27 (NLT) "Develop your business first before building your house."_ The scripture above instructs us to “develop your business first before building your house”. This means that you need to have the outline of your dreams and aspirations drawn out clearly and envisaged first before setting out to achieve them. Many fail to plan because they have not discovered the wisdom and skill of planning. Planning ahead of time is key to having a successful future and to sustaining it so never lose sight of planning ahead of time. Here are three things to note about planning ahead of time: 1. *Planning makes you grow in wisdom.* Psalms 90:12 (NLT) says, "Teach us to make the most of our time, so that we may grow in wisdom." Adequate planning towards your dreams and aspirations will cause you to grow in wisdom. This is because planning makes you think about what you ought to do and what not to do so that you do not waste time when you begin your pursuit. It helps you anticipate and provide remedies for contingencies, so you are not caught off guard when they happen. 2. *Plans help to keep you on the right path.* Proverbs 19: 2 (NLT) says, "Zeal without knowledge is not good; a person who moves too quickly may go the wrong way." If you start embarking on what you desire to achieve in life without planning first, you may go the wrong way in life because of distractions. Plan ahead to lay out the right path before you, before pursuing your dreams. 3. *Let your plans be in order* 1 Corinthians 14:40 (NLT) says, "But be sure that everything is done properly and in order." Plans are good, but if they are not done properly and orderly, they are not beneficial. Plans must be relevant to what you are pursuing and must be clearly laid out in an order that you can easily follow and run with direction and certainty. Proper plans define your priorities so that you “develop your business first before building your house." _Precious one, develop the skill of planning because it will make you grow in wisdom and help you to keep the right path of your pursuit. and let your plans be in order._ *Prayer:* Heavenly Father, I receive the insight and foresight of wisdom to plan properly for my life, in Jesus’ name. Amen. *Cross References:* 1 Chronicles 28:19 in the Amplified Bible Classic Edition.
