*A Time to Love* _By Archbishop Charles Agyinasare_ _Day 56 (25/02/2025)_ > *_Ecclesiastes 3:1, 8 (AMP) “To everything there is a season, and a time for every matter or purpose under heaven: A time to love..."_* This month is themed by various institutions and media platforms as the month of love with love-focused programming. Though the world may have its own idea of love, the true meaning of love is rooted in God, like the Scriptures say, ‘God is love'. God is able to give you the ability to truly love and be loved. You may have been affected by your parent’s sour marriage, or a bad divorce or you just recovered from a heartbreak, yet you can give love another chance. In contrast, your marriage may be on track with a collection of incredible memories. Nonetheless, it may be time to work on experiencing another level of intimacy. Here are three things you can do to experience love: 1. *Ask the Holy Spirit to fill you with love.* Romans 5:5 (NKJV) “Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.” Love is part of the fruit that a believer's spirit can bear through the indwelling Holy Spirit. You can ask Him to fill you with love for your family or for your spouse. As we yield to the love of God in us, we can overcome our flaws and limitations which hinder our ability to love. 2. *Open Up to True friendship.* Proverbs 18:24 (AMP) "...But there is a [true, loving] friend who [is reliable and] sticks closer than a brother.” You can open up to becoming friends with a member of the opposite gender of godly values when there is physical attraction. This friendship has the potential to evolve into a deeper relationship. For married couples, you can move your intimacy to a deeper level through closer friendship. 3. *Make a decision to love.* Job 22:28 (NIV) “What you decide on will be done, and light will shine on your ways.” Married couples must take deliberate steps with the help of God to grow their relationship, while singles must prayerfully seek a partner, that is, if they choose to commit to an intimate love relationship, God's favour will be released to assist their decision. “If you seek, you shall find”, the Bible says. _Precious one, it is time to love again. Ask the Holy Spirit to fill you with love, give room for true friendship and make up your mind to love._ *Prayer:* Heavenly Father, help me, fill my heart with your spirit of love, in Jesus’ name.
