Hundreds of British Volunteers, took part in the battle as part of the international brigades which protected Madrid from fascism in 1936. After this event we will go to the Britons' Protection to sing songs in English, Spanish, Catalan, Basque, and other languages from the civil war. Founder of Lesbians and Gays Support the Miners, he was an activist that sought to unite the struggle for queer liberation and workers power. After there will be a Folk session starting around 2-2:30pm at The Goose on Bloom Street hosted by Queer as Folk and Rad Trad. All are welcome to join and sing, dance or sit and soak it all up!
