In this lecture, we clarify that these concepts are not new; rather, what is new is the lack of awareness or misunderstanding surrounding them. SUMMARY: - The term 'Salaf' essentially refers to the Sahabah and includes those who preceded us in adhering to their creed and methodology.  - 'Salafiyyah' represents a pure and flawless path, methodology, and set of principles that align with true Islam as understood by the early Muslims.  - 'Salafi' is an affiliation to the Salaf in both creed and methodology.
