*Every Delhi-NCR family hit by pollution-related health problems: Survey* [Business Standard | November 2024] _"A recent survey reveals that every household in the region has at least one member suffering from pollution-related health issues, including sore throat, asthma, and headaches"_ The extremely serious Air and Water Pollution conditions and its resultant higher cost of living, poorer quality of life, disability-adjusted life years, physical and mental health deterioration, forced displacement, sanitation and menstrual hygiene challenges, and losses and damages, among other multi-order impacts, especially disproportionate affects on vulnerable communities, biodiversity and ecosystems like children, pregnant women, persons with disabilities, and senior citizens, among others. We at The Sangyan hope that Climate Change (Heatwaves and waterlogging, among other extreme weather events), Air and Water Pollution, and Yamuna River cleaning and rejuvenation become the core socio-political, geo-economic, and religio-cultural concerns that drive and shape the agenda and narrative of the 2025 Delhi Legislative Assembly (Vidhan Sabha) Election. We urge 'Bharat Bhagya Vidhata' ('Dispenser of India's Destiny') — the electorates (voters) to exercise their universal adult franchise (right to vote) with the commitment to voice for inclusive and sustainable laws, policies, strategies, and plans that ensure climate action, environmental sustainability, and pollution-free National Capital Territory of Delhi. https://www.business-standard.com/india-news/every-delhi-ncr-family-hit-by-pollution-related-health-problems-survey-124112001048_1.html
