Won and lost - or won for eternity?

Haggai
(1:7) "Thus says the LORD of hosts: Consider your ways.
(1:8) Go up to the hills and bring wood and build the house, that I may take pleasure in it and that I may be glorified, says the LORD.
(1:9) You looked for much, and behold, it came to little. And when you brought it home, I blew it away. Why? declares the LORD of hosts. Because of my house that lies in ruins, while each of you busies himself with his own house.

Do you want your life to be gain, as it says in 1 Timothy 6:6-10? Do you want to gain eternity in the presence of God? You don't want your life to be just a breath (James 4:14)? Then Christ must dwell in you, and he will win your soul for eternity. He will raise you up on the last day, after your physical death (John 11:25; John 14:23).
Beloved, blessed are we when our life is a gain! When we have fulfilled our destiny and God can say of you: “I may take pleasure in it and that I may be glorified”.
These are the people who will be granted abundant entrance into his kingdom (1 Peter 1:11); these are the ones who will ultimately be the true great ones in his kingdom (Matthew 23:11) when they enter into his glory and hear the words with which I would like to conclude here.
So my prayer request to conclude this thought is: “Lord, make my life an asset to your kingdom!”
_What we can learn from Haggai 1:7-9 about true gain, about chasing after wind in Alexander's life and what this gain has to do with death, you can read in the continuation of this thought, at the link mentioned above under the title of this thought._ _

Matthew
(25:23) His master said to him, 'Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master.'
