Alright lemi drop in details about this OQATA encounter... When me and my guy arrived at Kampala Boulevard, he made the call to the 'recruitor' Lady, and she told us to grab the elevator to the second floor and she would be waiting there. One other thing ,these guys had actually told him to bring his S6 results for review, guess what on arrival they didn't even ask for them. Back to the story, We reach the 2nd floor and all am seeing is guys all in office wear gents n ladies and they had actually told my guy to come in a gentle dress code ,I guess thats what they told all the people they invited. Because when we later got in the conference I saw most of the audience was in gentle attire. So, we reach 2nd floor she greats us, very formal introduction, now my eyes n ears were open and searching fr any discrepancies to justify my doubts in these guys at this points. We are sent to another suited gentleman to tell us how the process is gonna be then it hits. 1st strike , he tells us that we going for a short brief 1hr conference ,in my mind am like this not how an employment process is gotta be ,they haven't done any sort of interview fr my buddy here and they planning to take us on some orientation and why would they allow me to tag along, I should be told to wait outside. Am not the one they invited for the "job". Anyways we get into a small hall I see left over decoration from the previous Ug🇺🇬 independence celebrations ( Yes this happened last year about 2 weeks after independence) ,they got one speaker(the kind this street preachers use )in the back playin music via phone, chairs were set up for a sitting of about maximum 30 people We were shown in places were 60% occupied they placed us in different rows me and my guy, he was at the front n I was at about the 3rd row behind so, we stayed chatting via WhatsApp as I tell him wierd stuff am noticing. They told us in 15mins the session will start and it got on the way ,but they had told us they want maximum attention, no checking our phones during the talks etc. Before the presention started they had a pre-roll already showing on the projector of the classic big money rewards ,some random medicines that I later found out where used as a cover-up package in this Ponzi scheme, trips of them in Dubai , some shots of the employees with cars ,the posing with ninber plates, some shots of real estate... Etc The music is later turned down, the team to present comes forward male ,female all decked out in suits I noticed they all holding flagship phones some got car keys and you could tell they trying to discretely show em off. But one thing i noticed to is they had employee ids of some company called 'Global Star' and tht logo n name was also on posters in the room... One of the guys a lady stepped forward got us to do some engagement exercise of clapping , saying stuff like better life with Oqata , yall tht have experienced them u knw what am talking about... So we start with them talking about the herbal meds they sell n how they work blaa ,bt fr me am waiting fr how meds connect to trips in dubai and buying cars. They later switch to the classic network marketing bullshit butbthere a twist nw, they don't expect us to sell this meds 🤔 . The presenter later hands over to another. An man now i remember he was holding z flip n i think n S10 something (u will knw why i discretely remember tht) This guy like the others before him and the next start by getting us to do those clapping shoutin engagement exercise before they start their segement but they also start by telling us how the company global star which is worldwide and top of Oqata has changed there life got em to buy a car house ,good life trips abroad ... Blablaaa. So this z flip guy start nw to talk about the gist, there investment packages tht start from Shs.1m and above. He actually also talked crucial details about the company like its owner and how tht owner works with some top tycoons in Uganda, which I tried to note down on my phone but he saw me and called me out fr holding a cheaper phone than his and how he got more money than me 😂 , I just acted nonchalant n big headed noted down what i wanted as he ranted , but I saw his fellow look at him with an eye of let it go n let the show continue... One thing i noticed about this guys was that they had really preped for this presentations and were on a script. We I later found out when I was jazzing with my guy that had come for a job that this guys told him that they are always there doing this presentations. And tht explained why they were flawless and seemed scripted... We had like four guys come up and the last dude who i assume was the highest ranked of that pack of scammers came up and jazzed about all the wealth he had and cars tht i noticed in the oictures they showed us on the cars he said he had bought he had 2 pairs of number plates he was swapin about showed holding while takin pics with the cars...
