Commissioner HRH Eurika Mogane was invited as a Guest Speaker to address the Mpumalanga Department of Economic Development and Tourism regarding Gender Equality and Ethical Work in the Public Sector, on Friday, 13th December at Nutting House Lodge in the province. "There is a need to ensure that SMMEs in the province represent the gender equality we hope to accomplish. The economic crisis in our rural areas is what leads to an increase of GBVF cases, as victims fear losing the breadwinners who are the Perpetrators," said Commissioner Mogane. Capacitating women from rural areas is a priority, and the Commission for Gender Equality has conducted various research and produced reports to showcase the current state of role that women play in building the economy.
