Kanye West has once again crossed every red line imaginable. The man who has previously declared "I’m a Nazi," praised Hitler, and spread anti-Semitic conspiracy theories, has now used one of the world’s largest platforms—the Super Bowl commercial—to spread hate and anti-Semitism. Immediately after his commercial aired, which seemed to lead to his regular e-commerce site, he removed all products from the site, leaving only one shirt: a plain white one with a swastika. This is not a mistake, not a gimmick, not "artistic provocation." This is deliberate incitement against Jews. This is normalizing Nazi symbols in front of millions. This is a call for violence disguised as pop culture. Thankfully, Elon Musk has already blocked Kanye West’s Twitter account. Unfortunately, Shopify—the platform through which West sells his shirts—has not yet stopped the sales and has not responded. It's time to stop staying silent and respond to anti-Semites like Kanye West in the strongest way possible. We must demand social networks stop giving a platform to anti-Semitism and hatred. We need to apply public and economic pressure to remove people like West from every platform that enables their poison. We can’t continue to treat Kanye West as a sensation or a gimmick—he is dangerous, and it’s time he’s treated as such. Video credit: Ori Bejerano
