STABLECOIN BILL IN SENATE ICYMI: Today, Senator Bill Hagerty (R-TN) introduced his stablecoin bill before the Senate. The GENIUS (Guiding and Establishing National Innovation in U.S. Stablecoins) Act aims to provide clear government regulations for stablecoins. Key elements of the GENIUS Act: It defines stablecoins as digital assets pegged to the USD. It establishes licensing and reserve requirements for issuers. It applies the Fed’s rules for issuers over $10B; and state rules for assets under $10B. It supports financial inclusion, efficient transactions, and dollar supremacy.
