1 Chronicles 16:34: 'Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever.' These words remind us of the importance of gratitude and the enduring love that binds us together as a community. Today PS MSMEs Susan Auma Mang’eni together with her counterparts Dr. Raymond Omollo (Interior), Eng. Joseph Mbugua (Roads) joined PS for devolution Ms. Terry Mbaika in a thanksgiving church service at AIC Mukuyuni,Kaiti Constituency,Makueni County. PS Mang’eni encouraged the residents of Makueni to maximize the Hustler Fund opportunity and build their credit history to enhance their ability to access affordable credit. She revealed that around 400k residents of Makueni County had accessed more than Kshs. 850million from the Hustler Fund personal loan product and over Kshs. 17M of the Bridge loan product which was launched last December with an extended loan period of 30 day at 8% interest rate per annum. So far through the Hustler Fund initiative, the government has disbursed a total of Kshs. 65 billion to more 25.3 Million. The PS also emphasized the need to uphold good credit behavior. “We now have hustler fund credit rating system that scores you based on how you behave with the hustler fund loan. All hustler fund beneficiaries have a rate ranging from A1- C3 (A1, A2,A3, B1, B2, B3, C1, C2, C3) with As implying excellent while Cs Poor.” The government has embarked on institutionalizing the Hustler Fund credit scores to make them soft collaterals towards unlocking access to affordable credit. Looking into the future, PS Mang’eni noted that with Hustler Fund credit Score majority of Kenyans at the bottom of economic pyramid who cannot afford conventional collaterals will now be served in the mainstream financing market provided based on their credit rating.
