*FORGIVENESS & HUMILITY*
_*"For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you refuse to forgive others, your Father will not forgive you."*_ _Matt 6:14-15_
_*"Humility is the fear of the Lord; its wages are riches and honor and life."* Prov 22:4_
_*"Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you."* Eph 4:32_
_"Following up Forgiveness with the heart of Humility, advertises an available vessel to partner with God"_
Forgiveness is about releasing the emotional burden of an offense, letting go of resentment, and choosing not to seek revenge. It's a process that can bring healing, freedom, and restoration to the one forgiving.
The combination of these two virtues _(Forgiveness and humility)_ in your daily life are undebatablly essential to partner with God for more. When you choose to forgive and also humble yourself, you:
. _Experience freedom_: Forgiveness releases you from the bondage of bitterness and resentment, thus making room to recieve and express Christ's nature. (Matt 6:14-15)
._Reflect God's character_: Humility demonstrates your dependence on God and reflects His character. (1Pet 5:6-7)
. _Position yourself for blessing_: Forgiveness and humility create an environment to become a conduit of God's blessings to flow in your life. (Psa 51:17)
*CHARACTER:*
- _*Joseph*_: Joseph forgave his brothers for their betrayal and humbled himself before God. (Gen 50:15-21)
_"Forgiveness is not tied to forgetting; it's tied releasing the emotional burden of the offense "_
*REFLECTIONS:*
1. _Recognize the need for forgiveness_: Have you acknowledged areas where you need to forgive yourself or others? (Matt 6:12)
2. _Choosing to forgive_ is a decision to release the offense and let go of bitterness. (Eph 4:32)
3. _Practice humility_ by recognizing your limitations and depending on God. (Prov 22:4)
4. _Seek God's guidance_ by asking God to reveal areas where you need to forgive and/or humble yourself. (Psa 139:23-24)
*The Big Question.*
Releasing the offense after punishment... is that one also forgiveness? Can forgiveness and punishment coexist?
What's your view?
We have to discuss this; _(Check the MDL WhatsApp Channel for an addendum this evening.)_
_"Humility is not weakness; it's strength under control."_
Practical Tips
1. _Keep a forgiveness journal_: Write down areas where you need to forgive yourself or others.
2. _Practice humility in daily life_: Recognize your limitations and dependence on God in your daily interactions.
3. _Seek accountability_: Surround yourself with people who will encourage and support you in your journey of forgiveness and humility.
What areas of your daily life need forgiveness and humility?
