*MDL _~My DAILY LIGHT Reflections_*
*INTRODUCTION:*
The second level of partnership is with our fellow human beings and organizations. We will study and cultivate these eight categories of principles as we partner with others for more results.
The principles are based on Christ's nature.
Truly, There's More... to gain if we partner with one another.
The First Category is *Effective Communication.*
Effective communication is the foundation of any successful partnership. It involves not only conveying our thoughts and ideas but also listening actively to others.
It is made-up of:

*ACTIVE LISTENING*
_*"To answer before listening—that is folly and shame."* ~ Prov 18:13_
_*"My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry."* ~Jam 1:19_
Active listening is a crucial aspect of effective communication. It is the process of fully concentrating on and comprehending the message being conveyed by another person, while also responding thoughtfully and empathetically.
*CHARACTERS:*

- *Use verbal and non-verbal cues*: Nod your head, use phrases like "I see" or "uh-huh," and ask open-ended questions to show you're engaged.
- *Paraphrase and summarize*: Repeat what you've heard in your own words, and summarize the main points to ensure understanding.
- *Ask clarifying questions*: Seek more information to clarify any points you're unsure about.
- *Avoid interrupting*: Let the speaker finish their thoughts before responding.
