*Last Project Oversight in Klerksdorp, North-West* On Friday, 28th February 2025, the Services SETA Accounting Authority (AA) concluded a series of their provincial visits in Klerksdorp, North-West. The aim of these visits, which kicked off last year, is to assess the projects that the organisation has funded and engage with the relevant stakeholders. Opening the meeting at Vuselela TVET College, Jouberton campus, Shadrack Motloung, AA member, elaborates “we agreed that we must keep an eye on the projects that we have funded to identify areas of improvement”. One of the ongoing projects is the Occupational Certificate in Bricklaying with Vuselela TVET College. The project consisting of 15 beneficiaries kicked off in May 2024, and it is earmarked to be completed in 2027. One of the learners, Olerato Kopela, shared his experience with the programme “So far the programme is going well, we have the necessary personal protection equipment (PPEs) and on the construction site we are exposed to different types of building structures and how to use different tools”. To conclude the visit, the board conducted a walkabout at Tumahole Properties where beneficiaries are hosted for their work placement.
