*Apple Crumble with Oats & Cinnamon*

*INGREDIENTS*
_For the apple filling:_
6 medium apples (about 900g), peeled, cored, and sliced
50g brown sugar
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 tsp ground cinnamon
½ tsp vanilla extract
1 tbsp cornstarch
_For the crumble topping:_
150g rolled oats
100g all-purpose flour
100g unsalted butter, cold and cubed
40g brown sugar
1 tsp ground cinnamon
¼ tsp salt
*INSTRUCTIONS*
1. Preheat Oven by setting your oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease a baking dish (about 20x25cm).
2. In a large bowl, mix the apple slices with brown sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon, vanilla, and cornstarch.
3. Toss until apples are evenly coated.
4. Transfer the mixture into the baking dish, spreading it evenly.
5. In another bowl, combine oats, flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt.
6. Add the cold butter and rub it into the mixture using your fingertips until it forms coarse crumbs.
7. Evenly sprinkle the crumble topping over the apples.
8. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the apples are bubbling.
9. Let it cool slightly, then serve warm with vanilla ice cream or custard.
