FRIDAY FEBRUARY 7TH 2025 CRUSADE ENDING 40 DAYS PRAYER AND FASTING WITH AP YOSHUA N.MASASU THEME : TO PUT ON THE WISDOM AND DISCERNMENT OF THE HOLY SPIRIT TO STAND AGAINST THE SCHEMES OF SATAN AND HIS ALLIES, WHICH ARE THE WORLD AND THE SINFUL NATURE. SCRIPTURES ---------- [NIV] Ephesians 6:11 Genesis 3:4-7 Matthew 4:1-11 2 Corinthians 4:3-5 2 Corinthians 11:14-15 1 Timothy 4:1-5 2 Samuel 15:34,37 2 Samuel 16:20-23 2 Samuel 17:1-14,23 Ephesians 6:11 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. Genesis 3:4-7 4 "You will not certainly die," the serpent said to the woman. 5 "For God knows that when you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil." 6 When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it. 7 Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they realized they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves. Matthew 4:1-11 1 Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. 2 After fasting forty days and forty nights, he was hungry. 3 The tempter came to him and said, "If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread." 4 Jesus answered, "It is written: 'Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.'" 5 Then the devil took him to the holy city and had him stand on the highest point of the temple. 6 "If you are the Son of God," he said, "throw yourself down. For it is written: "'He will command his angels concerning you, and they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.'" 7 Jesus answered him, "It is also written: 'Do not put the Lord your God to the test.'" 8 Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor. 9 "All this I will give you," he said, "if you will bow down and worship me." 10 Jesus said to him, "Away from me, Satan! For it is written: 'Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.'" 11 Then the devil left him, and angels came and attended him. 2 Corinthians 4:3-5 3 And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing. 4 The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. 5 For what we preach is not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus' sake. 2 Corinthians 11:14-15 14 And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. 15 It is not surprising, then, if his servants also masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve. 1 Timothy 4:1-5 1 The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons. 2 Such teachings come through hypocritical liars, whose consciences have been seared as with a hot iron. 3 They forbid people to marry and order them to abstain from certain foods, which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and who know the truth. 4 For everything God created is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving, 5 because it is consecrated by the word of God and prayer. AHITOFELI vs HUSHAYI 2 Samuel 15:34,37 34 But if you return to the city and say to Absalom, 'Your Majesty, I will be your servant; I was your father's servant in the past, but now I will be your servant,' then you can help me by frustrating Ahithophel's advice. 37 So Hushai, David's confidant, arrived at Jerusalem as Absalom was entering the city. 2 Samuel 16:20-23 20 Absalom said to Ahithophel, "Give us your advice. What should we do?" 21 Ahithophel answered, "Sleep with your father's concubines whom he left to take care of the palace. Then all Israel will hear that you have made yourself obnoxious to your father, and the hands of everyone with you will be more resolute." 22 So they pitched a tent for Absalom on the roof, and he slept with his father's concubines in the sight of all Israel. 23 Now in those days the advice Ahithophel gave was like that of one who inquires of God. That was how both David and Absalom regarded all of Ahithophel's advice. 2 Samuel 17:1-14,23 1 Ahithophel said to Absalom, "I would choose twelve thousand men and set out tonight in pursuit of David. 2 I would attack him while he is weary and weak. I would strike him with terror, and then all the people with him will flee. I would strike down only the king 3 and bring all the people back to you. The death of the man you seek will mean the return of all; all the people will be unharmed." 4 This plan seemed good to Absalom and to all the elders of Israel. 5 But Absalom said, "Summon also Hushai the Arkite, so we can hear what he has to say as well." 6 When Hushai came to him, Absalom said, "Ahithophel has given this advice. Should we do what he says? If not, give us your opinion." 7 Hushai replied to Absalom, "The advice Ahithophel has given is not good this time. 8 You know your father and his men; they are fighters, and as fierce as a wild bear robbed of her cubs. Besides, your father is an experienced fighter; he will not spend the night with the troops. 9 Even now, he is hidden in a cave or some other place. If he should attack your troops first, whoever hears about it will say, 'There has been a slaughter among the troops who follow Absalom.' 10 Then even the bravest soldier, whose heart is like the heart of a lion, will melt with fear, for all Israel knows that your father is a fighter and that those with him are brave. 11 "So I advise you: Let all Israel, from Dan to Beersheba—as numerous as the sand on the seashore—be gathered to you, with you yourself leading them into battle. 12 Then we will attack him wherever he may be found, and we will fall on him as dew settles on the ground. Neither he nor any of his men will be left alive. 13 If he withdraws into a city, then all Israel will bring ropes to that city, and we will drag it down to the valley until not so much as a pebble is left." 14 Absalom and all the men of Israel said, "The advice of Hushai the Arkite is better than that of Ahithophel." For the Lord had determined to frustrate the good advice of Ahithophel in order to bring disaster on Absalom. 23 When Ahithophel saw that his advice had not been followed, he saddled his donkey and set out for his house in his hometown. He put his house in order and then hanged himself. So he died and was buried in his father's tomb. 1) WE ARE AT WAR WITH THE ENEMY OF OUR SOULS, SATAN, THE ANCIENT SERPENT, WHO HAS SCHEMES AND DECEPTIONS THAT ARE MORE THAN OUR HUMAN MINDS CAN STAND AGAINST, FOR HE IS A SPIRIT AND WE ARE FLESH AND BLOOD. 2)IN US OR IN OUR SINFUL NATURE WE HAVE ACCOMPLICES OR ALLIES OF THE ENEMY (THE LUST OF THE FLESH, THE LUST OF THE EYES, AND THE PRIDE OF LIFE) WHICH HE USES TO BLIND US AND TO ROB US OF OUR WISDOM AND DISCERNMENT SO THAT HE CAN USE US TO DO HIS WILL INSTEAD OF GOD'S WILL. 3)WHEN WE CONSECRATE OURSELVES TO GOD, DIE TO THE FLESH, AND BECOME FRIENDS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT, THAT'S WHAT WILL ENABLE US TO OVERCOME THE DECEPTION OF THE ENEMY, SATAN, WHICH OTHERWISE WOULD LEAD US TO DEATH.
