What is ICT4D HACK? ICT4D HACK is an event run by top students from various universities in Cameroon, including the University of Yaoundé I and ICT University. Its aim is to foster student growth by organizing hackathons and technology summits, in order to bring out new, high-potential startups. This year marks the 4ᵉ edition of the ICT4D HACK, with an extension of its reach to students from all universities in the Centre region. How does it work? The competition takes place in two main phases: 1️⃣ Online selection phase Participants must form a 5-member team via a link provided. Each team will submit a 3-minute video pitch presenting a project of its choice. A jury of professionals will evaluate these pitches and select the best teams for the final phase. 2️⃣ Physical Hackathon (24h) Qualified teams will work for 24 hours on the creation of an MVP (Minimum Viable Product) in line with a defined theme. Participants can choose between two categories: coding competition or Game Jam.
