Dear young people of the Kesmonds family worldwide 🌍 today marks the 59th youth day celebration in Cameroon’s historic existence. As an institution with 80% youths both as students, factory workers, administrators, consultants and professors. I strongly believe in your potentials and know clearly my vision will lead you to a successful future. Celebrating youthful days is an important aspect of personal development and growth. Youth is often associated with vitality, energy, and an eagerness to explore the world. This period of life is not only the foundation for an individual's future but also a time filled with experiences that shape character and identity. Recognizing and celebrating these days helps individuals appreciate their journey, make lasting memories, and understand the value of youth in a broader context. One of the primary reasons to celebrate youth is the opportunity for self-discovery. During these formative years, individuals often explore their interests, passions, and values. Celebrations such as birthdays or milestones mark significant transitions in life. For instance, a sweet sixteen birthday party or a graduation ceremony are events that highlight achievements and the passage into adulthood. These celebrations serve as a reminder of personal growth and the pursuit of dreams. They provide a sense of accomplishment that can motivate young people to continue striving for their goals. Moreover, celebrating youth fosters connections and friendships. Events like parties, community gatherings, or sporting events create opportunities for social interaction. In recent years, social media has played a crucial role in allowing young people to connect and celebrate together, even when they are apart. For example, virtual birthday parties became popular during the COVID-19 pandemic, allowing friends and family to celebrate milestones despite physical distancing. These connections are essential as they reinforce support systems, offering encouragement and joy during both good and challenging times. Today the African youth is over 16 countries are deprived of the rights to enjoy their freedom and homeland due to political instability in countries like Burkina Faso, Cameroon, the Central African Republic (CAR), the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ethiopia, Mali, Mozambique, Nigeria, Senegal, Somalia, South Sudan and Sudan. Several armed groups – fighting against government forces and/or against each other's – are involved in these conflicts. Another aspect of celebrating youth is the opportunity to reflect on experiences. Each age brings new challenges and successes, and celebrating these moments helps individuals to look back and recognize how far they have come. For instance, young people often face academic pressures, and acknowledging achievements such as passing exams or completing projects can bolster self-esteem and resilience. By recognizing accomplishments, youth can build a positive self-image that empowers them as they transition into adulthood. In conclusion, celebrating youthful days is valuable for fostering self-discovery, building connections, and reflecting on personal growth. These celebrations not only acknowledge past achievements but also motivate individuals towards future goals. As young people navigate the complexities of life, the importance of celebrating their youth cannot be overstated. It creates lasting memories and instills a sense of pride that carries forward into adulthood, shaping who they will become in the years ahead. Therefore, it is essential to recognize and celebrate these precious days to appreciate the richness of youth.
