EThekwini Municipality, in partnership with C40 Cities, is hosting 18 African countries, with a specific focus on the deployment of electric buses in the African region. The three-day conference, which was opened by eThekwini Municipality Mayor, Councillor Cyril Xaba, includes knowledge sharing, networking, bi-lateral meetings and technical site-visits. EThekwini is already making headway in the E-Bus space as the City has commenced with the process of a feasibiltiy study for the deployment of electric buses in Durban. Within the next 10-12 months, the city will have three e-buses for trial purposes and an additional 16 in the next three years. #ethekwinimunicipality
