Sindisiwe Masinga is grateful to eThekwini Municipality and the Food and Beverages Manufacturing Sector Education and Training Authority for offering the one-year New Venture Creation Business Management Level 4 Learnership, focusing on the agribusiness value chain. The training, which started in February last year and concludes this month, has empowered 100 emerging farmers, mainly youth, in eThekwini. ASIME Women’s NPC delivered the training, which began with theory before moving on to practical experience with various host employers. Masinga, practising at UMgibe Farming Organics, a beneficiary and success story of the Municipality’s Agri-Business, gained valuable skills in planting, food processing and harvesting.
