*_Don’t Be Tossed Around by Every Wind of Doctrine: Stand Firm in God’s 3W (Word, Will, and Wish)_* In a world filled with diverse teachings, philosophies, and influences, the believer is constantly faced with the challenge of discerning truth from deception. The Apostle Paul, in Ephesians 4:14, warns us against being "tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting." This call to spiritual stability is more crucial now than ever. *Standing Firm in God’s 3W: His Word, Will, and Wish* To navigate this world without losing our spiritual footing, we must be anchored in God’s Word, Will, and Wish—the 3W that should define our lives. The Word of God is our ultimate guide (Psalm 119:105), His Will is our purpose (Romans 12:2), and His Wish is that we walk in righteousness and truth (3 John 1:2). When we align ourselves with these, we stand unshaken despite the waves of false teachings and societal pressures. *Paul’s Bold Stand Against Peter’s Hypocrisy* An excellent example of standing firm in truth is found in Galatians 2:11-14, where Paul confronts Peter for his inconsistency. Peter, who had initially dined with the Gentiles, withdrew from them when certain Jewish believers arrived, fearing their judgment. Paul, recognizing the hypocrisy, rebuked Peter publicly because his actions contradicted the gospel. This confrontation highlights a vital lesson: even spiritual leaders can falter, but true believers must remain unwavering in truth. If Paul had chosen to conform rather than correct, the early church would have been misled. His courage serves as a model for us today—we must not compromise on God’s standards to fit societal expectations. *Biblical Icons Who Stood Alone* Throughout Scripture, we find individuals who stood alone for the sake of truth: 1. Noah – He preached righteousness in a corrupt world (Genesis 6:9-22). 2. Elijah – He stood against the prophets of Baal on Mount Carmel (1 Kings 18:20-40). 3. Daniel – He refused to defile himself in Babylon (Daniel 1:8-21). 4. John the Baptist – He boldly rebuked sin and prepared the way for Christ (Matthew 3:1-12). 5. Jesus Christ – He stood alone at the cross for our salvation (Luke 23:33-46). These men were not swayed by public opinion but remained steadfast in God’s truth. Their example challenges us to hold firm even when we feel outnumbered. Being Strong-Minded in a World of Compromise *To be an independent-minded believer, we must:* Test every teaching against Scripture (Acts 17:11). Stand against peer pressure and popular culture (Romans 12:2). Speak the truth in love, even when it’s uncomfortable (Ephesians 4:15). Remain prayerful and Spirit-led (Jude 1:20-21). *Conclusion: Stand Firm Even If It Means Standing Alone* The truth will not always be popular, but it will always be right. Do not be tossed around by the ever-changing winds of human doctrines. Instead, anchor yourself in God’s Word, Will, and Wish. Like Paul, dare to stand alone if necessary, for the reward of faithfulness far outweighs the temporary approval of man. . . . #gods3w #paulvspeter #wordwillwish #truthovertrend #standfirminfaith #notofalsedoctrine #evangelistdavidoforiasante
