~ is the device that uses steam under high pressure and temperature to sterilize equipment and other objects, to inactivate all bacteria, viruses, fungi, and spores in medical instruments.
> This process, is known as *moist heat sterilization*,
and it involves heating to 134°C for three minutes or 121°C for 15 minutes.

Certain materials may require different procedures, such as immersion in sodium hydroxide (1M NaOH) followed by heating in a gravity displacement autoclave at 121°C for 30 minutes.
Afterward, the items are cleaned, rinsed in water, and subjected to routine sterilization.
