Press Statement from the Office of the Speaker, House of Representatives February 19, 2025 Speaker Abbas congratulates new NCAT rector, commends President Tinubu The Speaker of the House of Representatives Rt. Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, Ph.D., GCON, has congratulated the newly appointed Rector/Chief Executive of the Nigerian College of Aviation Technology (NCAT), Zaria, Dr. Danjuma Adamu Ismaila. Speaker Abbas also commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for appointing Dr. Ismaila as NCAT rector, describing the appointment as a square peg in a square hole. In his congratulatory message issued through his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Musa Abdullahi Krishi, the Speaker expressed his confidence in the former lecturer at the Federal University of Transportation, Daura, Katsina State, to add immense value to NCAT. Speaker Abbas noted the significance of NCAT to the country, especially the aviation and education sectors. He, therefore, called on all stakeholders to support the new leadership of the college. Dr. Ismaila studied Physics at the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, where he graduated in 1989. He holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Transportation. He is also a member of the Royal Aeronautical Society, UK, and the Air Transport Research Society, among others.
