The Coimbatore City Police organized a *MIME Competition on Drug Awareness* at Sri Ramakrishna College of Arts and Science on February 21, 2025. Seven students from the Department of Commerce and Management, *SMS College of Arts & Science,* actively participated in this initiative aimed at educating and inspiring young minds about the dangers of drug abuse. The competition served as a powerful platform to emphasize the critical need for awareness regarding substance abuse. It highlighted the importance of educating individuals on the physical, mental, and emotional consequences of drug use, enabling them to make informed decisions about their well-being. Prevention and early intervention were key themes, stressing that identifying warning signs at an early stage can significantly improve recovery outcomes and reduce long-term harm. The event also reinforced the necessity of fostering a supportive environment where open discussions about addiction are encouraged, thereby reducing stigma. Providing access to counseling and peer support systems plays a crucial role in preventing and overcoming substance abuse. By raising awareness and promoting a culture of education and support, society can work together to create a safer and healthier future. SMS College of Arts & Science is proud to have its students contribute to such a meaningful cause, using creative expression to spread a message that can make a real difference. Every effort in educating and empowering individuals brings us one step closer to a drug-free society.
