Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro and other allies of former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua face removal from key parliamentary committees in looming political shake-up. The changes will see Azimio secure five committee chair positions traditionally held by the majority, as Kenya Kwanza seeks to appease the opposition. Embakasi North MP James Gakuya, Kipipiri MP Wanjiku Muhia and Runyenjes MP Eric Karemba are also among those expected to be replaced. In the Senate, five committee chair positions will go to Azimio, with Siaya Senator Oburu Oginga set to lead the Energy Committee.
