In other pressing matters, the House tackled the ongoing Osun Local Council crisis, calling on the IGP and DSS DG to restore order in the affected areas. An Adhoc Committee, chaired by Rep. Ahmed Idris Wase, was also constituted to investigate the root cause of the unrest. The safety of students was also highlighted, with Representatives urging the expansion of the Lokoja/Felele/Benin-Lagos Expressway and the construction of pedestrian bridges to prevent further fatalities.
