Penang Chief Minister the Right Honorable Mr Chow Kon Yeow, alongside InvestPenang delegates, successfully concluded a six-day investment promotion mission to Japan from 16 to 22 February. The mission focused on strengthening trade and investment ties, encouraging business expansion, and attracting new investments. The delegates engaged in 15 strategic meetings with key Japanese corporations in Tokyo, Kyoto, and Kumamoto, discussing industry growth, talent development, infrastructure enhancements, and the rising demand for Japanese-made equipment driven by AI and global supply chain shifts. In addition, the delegates also paid a courtesy visit to Kumamoto Prefecture Governor, to exchange insights and explore potential collaboration in relation to the semiconductor industry. InvestPenang also participated as an exhibitor at the Kumamoto Industrial Revitalisation Expo, further promoting Penang as a premier investment destination.
