Divisions of race, class, and privilege create barriers between people. Some believe their background or wealth gives them superiority over others. But Islam shattered these false distinctions over 1400 years ago. The Prophet ﷺ said: “An Arab is not superior to a non-Arab, nor is a white person superior to a black person. All are equal before Allah.” Yet, despite this truth, many fail to uphold it.
