A Visit to Ilorin – A Call for Support Yesterday, I visited the location I was informed about in Ilorin with 10 khimars. (📹 Caption is in the video, please watch 🙏) One moment that struck me deeply was meeting the last two women. Despite their khimars being faded, rumpled, and almost transparent, they selflessly said: “We know people who need it more than us, especially the reverts. We will connect you with the Ameerah General.” I had already given out all the khimars, so I couldn’t give them anything at that moment. But one of them—an elderly woman, old enough to be my mother—followed us and said: “Walahi, Almighty Allah really did send you to me. I’m suffering from a lack of khimars, niqabs, and socks.” And it was evident. She had nothing suitable for proper Ibadah. I promised her I would return next week, In Shaa Allah, with more khimars and gave her my number. Allah says: “Whoever intercedes for a good cause will have a share in its reward…” (Qur’an 4:85) Dear Muslim Ummah, let’s help these women in their Ibadah. Every khimar, niqab, and pair of socks makes a difference. May Allah accept this effort from us all.
