The Cabinet Secretary for Defence, Hon. Soipan Tuya, hosted a delegation from the East Africa Standby Force (EASF) at the Defence Headquarters for a familiarization meeting. The delegation, led by Brigadier (Rtd) Paul Kahuria Njema, briefed CS Tuya on the evolving security situation in the region, focusing on areas of unrest such as Ethiopia, Somalia, Sudan, and Eastern DR Congo. The discussion centered on EASF's efforts to maintain peace, security, and stability in these regions. Also present were Brigadier General Kabisa Domitien, Head of the EASF Peace Operations Department, and Brigadier Samuel Kimani, KDF’s Chief of Strategic Plans and Policy.
