On February 1, 2025, the KDF, Moyale Forward Operating Base carried out a Civil-Military Cooperation (CIMIC) initiative, providing fresh water to over 500 households in the villages of Kate, Antut, Bori, and Dadach Lakole within Moyale Sub-County. Major John Kossi, the Officer Commanding Moyale FOB, thanked the local community for their support in security matters and emphasized the importance of preventing bush fires, which are often caused by human activity and further threaten the region's already limited resources. The initiative aimed to alleviate the devastating impacts of drought and promote sustainable land use practices.
