The Cabinet Secretary for Defence, Hon. Soipan Tuya, held discussions with representatives from the Kenya Elsie Initiative Fund Technical Committee, led by Brigadier Joyce Sitienei, the Director of the International Peace Support Training Centre (IPSTC), at the Defence Headquarters. The Ministry of Defence (MOD), through Kenya Defence Forces (KDF), the Elsie Initiative Fund for Uniformed Women in Peace Operations (EIF), and UN Women, is working on a project titled "Breaking Barriers to Build Sustainable Global Peace: Enhancing Meaningful Participation of Uniformed Women Peacekeepers from KDF in UN Peacekeeping Operations."
