From The Virtue Of The Sha'bān Is That The Prophet ﷺ Would Fast Most Of It
Shaykh Ibn 'Uthaymīn said: "As for Sha'bān, then yes it is unique since the Prophet ﷺ would increase his fasting. Rather, he would fast most of this month. So it is befitting to increase fasting in Sha'bān.

Shaykh 'Abdul Muhsin al-'Abbad said: "The Prophet ﷺ would fast the most in the month of Sha'bān and Muharram from the months. And the Prophet ﷺ Never completed fasting an entire month except Ramadān.
