There was a group presentation I worked on alongside some coursemates, and our project was related to developing a medical device. I started with a story about a friend I lost to a disease closely related to the one we aimed to tackle with our device. My facial expressions, pauses, visuals, and body posture added to the impact. The audience was watching me intently—some wiping their tears, others staring at the picture I shared on the slide, and some already thinking about loved ones they had lost to medical conditions. I had their full attention, even the lecturers'. Then, I introduced the device—how it worked and its potential impact—quickly but effectively.
