⚙⭐ Coinbase CEO Proposes Blockchain for Government Spending Transparency Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong has urged U.S. authorities to adopt blockchain technology to enhance transparency in government finances. He pointed out that the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), led by Elon Musk, has already saved taxpayers $36.7 billion, but he believes this is not enough. According to Armstrong, decentralized ledgers would enable real-time public audits and help eliminate corruption. Previously, the U.S. Treasury and DOGE identified a loophole through which $100 billion leaks annually, with half of that amount potentially linked to fraud. 🔍 Musk proposed introducing mandatory categorization and justification codes for all government payments, along with regularly updating the list of organizations prohibited from receiving public funds. Supporters believe these measures would make the U.S. financial system more transparent and resilient. Smardex co-founder Jean Rausis backed the idea of blockchain adoption, stating that it would help the country maintain its leadership in technological innovation. However, he warned of the risk of "fake transparency" if the system remains under centralized control. ✅ The DOGE-led reforms are set to be unveiled on July 4, 2026, coinciding with the 250th anniversary of the U.S. Declaration of Independence. However, Musk’s initiative faces criticism: Democratic Senator Ron Wyden has raised concerns that DOGE has gained "full access" to the Treasury’s payment system, which he sees as a potential national security risk. ⚠️ 💡Do you need fast and reliable exchanges?
