Retraction of Shaykh Abu Ziyād Nadīm from His Excessive Praise for His Brother Shaykh ʿArafāt Praise be to Allāh, and may peace and blessings be upon the Messenger of Allāh, his family, his companions, and those who follow him. As for what follows: Indeed, I seek forgiveness from Allāh, repent to Him, and retract my excessive praise of the virtuous Shaykh ʿArafāt al-Muḥammadī—may Allāh preserve and protect him. I had said this in his defense and support because I had received false statements about him from his enemies. However, as Waraqah bin Nawfal, may All6ah be pleased with him, said: ❝No one has ever come with the truth like you have without being opposed.❞ Likewise, every person who brings the truth faces hostility from the ignorant, the foolish, and the people of innovation and desires. We ask Allāh for sincerity, acceptance, and steadfastness upon the methodology of the righteous predecessors—for ourselves and for all of you.
