Sunday 2 February 2025 *KEEP THE FIRE BURNING* Bishop Sam Wanume - There are many types of fire - Your fire should be for the Kingdom of God - The fire purifies your soul - With the fire the enemy can't access you easily *Leviticus 6:13 KJV* [13] The fire shall ever be burning upon the altar; it shall never go out. *1. Service your alter.* The more the service, the more the fire - Fire of purity - Fire of evangelism - A person with a fire in their lives always gives God the glory - We may be attacked but we are not consumed *2. Going deeper in God* *Mark 8:9* - The more you continue fasting your fire will keep burning *3. Stay connected to the source to maintain the fire in your life* - *4. Connect to other fire carriers to enable your fire to continue burning* - In business, ministry, school etc - You can't burn alone, you need fire from higher fire carriers *Psalm 42:7 KJV* [7] Deep calleth unto deep at the noise of thy waterspouts: All thy waves and thy billows are gone over me. *Proverbs 26:20 NIV* [20] Without wood a fire goes out; without a gossip a quarrel dies down. - Fire goes down because of lack of fuel - With fuel every closed door will be opened before you - Your fire is accessed by your fuel *How to tap into the anointing* 1. Through association 2. By service 3. By sowing seeds in the anointing *When the fire is burning* 1. It will attract good things 2. It will attract the evil one *Matthew 3:17 NIV* [17] And a voice from heaven said, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.” - Nothing happens to you by mistake - When going to a higher level we are baptized with the fire of suffering *Romans 8:16 NIV* [16] The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. *How do you kill the fire* 1. Complaining 2. Murmuring 3. Gossiping - There are people you must let go in your life to keep the fire burning - No matter what people may do keep your eyes fixed on Jesus - In your suffering God is baptizing you in fire by keeping your heart fixed on God *Job 14:14 NIV* [14] If someone dies, will they live again? All the days of my hard service I will wait for my renewal to come. - Let your fire keep burning because change is on the way *Isaiah 53* Whose report will you believe? I believe in the hand of the Lord *Isaiah 50:7 NIV* [7] Because the Sovereign Lord helps me, I will not be disgraced. Therefore have I set my face like flint, and I know I will not be put to shame. - In the end I will not be shamed. The hand of the Lord is with me and the Lord will help me *Isaiah 43:2 NIV* [2] When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze. *Exodus 3:2-3* Moses with the burning bush - Fire burning will give you a craving for holiness - The more the fire burns, it keeps purifying you and at the end your faith matures and you get better - We are weak but we shall become stronger once we keep the fire burning *1 John 4:4 NIV* [4] You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. - There's a fire that you carry within you than the forces that are in the world *1 John 4:5-6 NIV* [5] They are from the world and therefore speak from the viewpoint of the world, and the world listens to them. [6] We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error. I'm an overcomer where others are struggling because you are born of God and you overcome the world *Psalm 105:24 KJV* [24] And he increased his people greatly; And made them stronger than their enemies. - With every test you'll always come out stronger than your enemies *Psalm 105:17-20* There's a fire that doesn't come to consume you but tests you to become better and better *How to keep the fire burning* - With the anointing be generous - Sow into church programs - Evangelism and bring more people to church - Do good for your elders - Talk well about your church and pastors - Do charity *Proverbs 4:18* Proverbs 4:18 KJV [18] But the path of the just is as the shining light, That shineth more and more unto the perfect day. - Walk on the right path( holiness, righteousness and serving God) _Someone keep the fire burning and you'll become the person God created you to be_ *GOD BLESS YOU*
