Beware, beware, beware. Beware of igniting the flames of civil and sectarian war. Beware of the bloodshed that will engulf all Syrians. Beware of the thousands of martyrs from different communities. Beware of fueling and planting sectarianism, and arming the streets. Beware of ignorant actions that could lead to catastrophe. Beware—no minority will remain, and no majority will be spared. Beware—no child will be safe, nor will the elderly or women. Do not push the cart toward the abyss, because everyone is in it, and its consequences will be disastrous for all Syrians, without exception. The National Center for the Documentation of Violations in Syria calls for the urgent need to combat the spread of weapons across different regions, particularly in light of recent reports and documentation from various areas in Homs. The Center also calls for an immediate halt to sectarian incitement campaigns and gatherings that promote and fuel divisions, especially among the youth, as witnessed today at Homs University. Syria is going through a critical historical phase. No one will accept being killed without retaliating, and it will not stop there. One act of retaliation will lead to another, and Syria will drown in the blood of its children. Let’s pause and reflect: the tyrant has fallen and will not return. Drowning Syria in chaos and bloodshed will serve no one, and this is not the Syria of civilization and the future that we all long for.
