The weapons of armed factions affiliated with the General Command in Damascus were present inside civilian homes, confronting defenseless residents as if they were the invaders—while the true enemy remains in the south. Dozens of young men from the village were arbitrarily detained without cause, while hundreds of violations took place, including insults, beatings, torture, and sectarian abuse. In Ain Shams, the humanity of these factions collapsed, revealing monsters that turned against their own brothers in the homeland.
