https://whatsapp.com/channel/0029VaaBgLl0rGiQkO1nQO2t A historic day in the quest for the establishment of Parliamentary Constituency Information Centres(PCICs), as Mutare Rural District Council(MRDC), became the first local authority to sign a donation of land contract with the Parliament of Zimbabwe(PoZ) for this endeavour. MRDC donated land in Mutare North and Mutare West , constituencies under Hon Mahachi and Hon Marange respectively . This historic signing is expected to ignite the building processes, galvanising communities, consequently catalysing the quest to bring Parliament to the grassroots, as espoused within the Constitution, Section 141, which mandates Parliament to ensure public involvement in its processes, augmented by H.E President Cde Dr E.D Mnangagwa's mantra of leaving no-one and no place behind. Clerk of Parliament, Mr KM Chokuda and MRDC Social services officer, standing in for MRDC CEO Mr SD Chinaka, signed the contract on behalf of their entities. This epoch defining event which will be framed in the annals of history for posterity and will definately cajole other local authorities into action.
