Karma in Hinduism
Karma — a word that many misunderstand as just 'what goes around comes around.' But in Hinduism, Karma is much deeper. It is the law of action and consequence. Every thought, word, and deed plants a seed that will one day bear fruit.
There are three types of Karma:
1. Sanchita Karma — The accumulated karma from all past lives.
2. Prarabdha Karma — The part of past karma that we are experiencing in this life.
3. Agami Karma — The karma we create by our current actions, which shapes our future.
Hindu scriptures teach us that Karma isn't about punishment; it's about learning and spiritual evolution. Through dharma (righteous living) and bhakti (devotion), one can reduce the effects of negative karma.
So, the next time life tests you, remember — it's not just fate. It's a lesson guiding your soul toward liberation.
