Man punches crocodile to save his wife A couple from Nkoro village in the Katwitwi area, Kavango West region, sustained serious injuries on Saturday after Theresia Kayiwa (30) was attacked by a crocodile. Her husband Martin Kambimba, in response came to her rescue, by fighting the reptile to remove his wife from the creature’s jaws. The couple had gone to the river at 9pm to catch fish when the predator attacked. “When we arrived at the river were my traditional (cage) was I went straight in the river and the crocodile caught me and started dragging me into the water. I remember, I started shouting for my husband to come and help me and he immediately plunged into the water and twice he fought off the reptile to save me,” Kayiwa, who has been admitted at Rundu Hospital in critical condition, said. Kayiwa, who is in visible serious pain, sustained injuries at the right side of her arm and down her thigh and her leg, while Kambimba sustained injuries on his head and neck.
