Every craft has its geographical capital(s), and this ought to have been a part of your secondary school education. Especially if you’re in your 20s, scheme night and day, restlessly, to be positioned in your skill capital. To better aid your decision making process, note these psychological realities: - some people who either missed their bus or couldn’t reach it, might sabotage you by saying location doesn’t matter. They don’t want to be left behind. Poor people INTENTIONALLY mislead other poor people - when a preacher or public figure authoritatively gives life advice/motivation from a podium, think about whether it’s the same directive they’d give their biological children. Outside advice and inside guidance are often not the same - and you reading this, when making decisions, be sure that it’s based on fact, not poverty or similar inadequacies. For example, it’s okay to accept that your ideal location is Berlin, while acknowledging that you don’t (currently) have the means to move there. The worst lie is not the one told to you by another, but one you tell yourself repeatedly to the point of belief. As far as we know about life, this is your one shot. There are no do overs. Make it count. — J.O.
