Maha Kumbh stampede-Muslims opened mosques to help: provided bedding and quilts to 25000 people, provided them food: said- devotees are our guests On the night of 28 January, there were 8 crore people in the 10 km area of the Maha Kumbh area. After the accident, the highways got jammed. The speed of buses came to a halt. A large number of people had to spend the night on the roads. The devotees had to spend the night of 29 January on the road. In such a situation, the Muslims of Prayagraj set an example of Ganga-Jamuni tehzeeb. People were accommodated in Khuldabad Sabzi Mandi Mosque, Bada Tajia Imambara, Himmatganj Dargah and Chowk Mosque, 10 km away from the fair area. People from Muslim community's localities like Nakhas Kohna, Roshanbagh, Himmatganj. Khuldabad, Ranimandi, Shahganj hosted the devotees in their homes. They were given tea and breakfast. They were fed food. A bhandaara was organised in these localities at night. Halwa-puri and food items were distributed to the devotees.
