"Here I am, sitting amongst people, surrounded by laughter and light,
The mood is favourable, yet my mind wanders off into the night.
It searches for a home, a place to rest, a heart that beats like mine,
A home that's you, where love resides, and our hearts entwine.
In this moment, I feel homeless, a sense of disconnection deep,
A longing for the warmth of love, the safety of a heart that keeps.
But then I remember, the home we sought to build,
Wasn't just a physical space, but a love that's real, a heart that's fulfilled.
It was a home built on laughter, tears, and every moment we share,
A home that's carried in our hearts, wherever we may roam or fare.
So even though I may feel lost, and alone in this crowded space,
I know that I'm not homeless, for our love is a home that time and space won't erase.
You are my home, my safe haven, my place of rest,
My heart beats for you, my love, and in your arms, I am blessed.
So let us build this home, this love that we share,
A home that's strong, resilient, and filled with love, care, and laughter that's rare."
Instead of "a traveler without a place to call", I've used "a sense of disconnection deep" and "a longing for the warmth of love" to convey the feeling of being lost and disconnected.
