#copied 🚨Hiring Alert Position: Mechanical Technician 📍Location - Offshore Key Responsibilities: •Assists in the maintenance and testing of all mechanical equipment and systems utilized in operations, including static and rotating equipment. •Receives incoming work requests, discusses work required with the Mechanical Supervisor, and estimates time, materials or spare parts required to complete the work. Receives schedule of job, with appropriate Permit to Work and arranges for tools, diagrams, and test equipment. •Repair, refurbish, and rebuild gas turbines, centrifugal compressors, pumps, and other rotating equipment. •Assist the Maintenance Engineer in performing preliminary checks, functional checks, and operational tests. •Vibration and temperature monitoring of pumps and motors. •Completes all activities in accordance with Company’s safety procedures and manufacturer's recommendations, ensuring that all precautions are taken to isolate equipment prior to commencing work following all safety instructions and notices and always wearing protective equipment. •Completes work orders / cards with details of job carried out and materials and man hours used to complete the work. Job qualifications/requirements: •5 years’ varied maintenance and repair experience, ideally within the Oil and Gas / Petrochemical industry. •Preferably candidates with completion of secondary education, a trade course or apprenticeship. •Candidates should possess a working knowledge of computer applications software such as Microsoft Office and should be fluent in English (Speak, read, and write).
