                            The Zambia Tourism Agency (ZTA) is a Statutory Body established through the Tourism 
and Hospitality Act No. 13 of 2015. The Act mandates the Zambia Tourism Agency to 
effectively market and promote Zambia as a tourism and travel destination of choice and 
to regulate the tourism industry.
VACANCIES
The Zambia Tourism Agency wishes to invite suitably qualified and experienced Zambian 
nationals to fill the following vacant positions:
1. TOURISM PROMOTIONS OFFICER - DIGITAL MARKETING / BRANDING: 
Lusaka Office (1 POSITION) - Readvertisement
Reporting to the Manager - Digital Marketing/ Branding, the Tourism Promotion Officer-
Digital Marketing/ Branding will assist the Manager with implementing and managing 
online marketing campaigns and help drive audience engagement, increase brand 
visibility, and ultimately to support the growth of tourism in Zambia.
Principle Accountabilities: 
 • Assist in managing and maintaining Zambia Tourism Agency’s social media 
accounts, including content creation, scheduling, and community management.
 • Collaborate with the wider marketing team to develop high-quality and engaging 
digital content, including blog posts, social media posts, and email newsletters.
 • Assist in creating and managing online advertising campaigns on platforms such as 
Google Ads and social media advertising.
 • Contribute to maintaining and updating the Agency’s website, ensuring it remains 
up-to-date and provides superior user-experience.
 • Aid in optimising website content for search engines (SEO) and assist with paid 
advertising campaigns (SEM) to improve online visibility.
 • Monitor and analyse digital marketing performance metrics, prepare reports, and 
provide insights to inform decision-making.
 • Assist in researching industry trends, competitors, and audience preferences to 
enhance digital marketing strategies.
 • Provide administrative support to the digital marketing team, including organizing 
meetings, tracking expenses, and managing digital marketing assets.
• Assist in creating high-quality marketing materials (online and offline) to promote 
Zambia’s tourism offerings.
 • Collaborate with the design team or external agencies to create visually appealing 
graphics, info graphics, and other design assets for marketing campaigns.
 • Ensure consistency in brand messaging and adherence to brand guidelines across 
all marketing materials and channels.
 • Assist in gathering market intelligence and conducting research on industry trends 
to inform branding strategies.
 • Provide support in organising and promoting events and trade shows related to 
tourism and travel.
 • Prepare reports on branding and marketing activities, including social media 
metrics and engagement data. Undertakes effectively the dissemination of tourism
information in the region in order to promote awareness
Qualifications and Personal attributes:
• Full Form V/ Grade 12 School Certificate.
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Marketing or equivalent.
• 3-years’ work experience.
• Must be a member of the Zambia Institute of Marketing (ZIM).
• Able to write technical and analytical reports.
• Computer literate.
• Interpersonal skills.
2. TOURISM PROMOTIONS ASSISTANT- Livingstone Office (1 POSITION)
Reporting to the Tourism Promotions Manager - Southwest, the Tourism Promotions 
Assistant to be based in Livingstone will undertake the marketing and promotion of 
regional tourism products in order to facilitate increase in tourist arrivals and enhance the 
experience of arriving tourists. 
Principle Accountabilities: 
▪ Undertakes the effective implementation of regional marketing plans in order to 
facilitate increase in tourist arrivals and earnings.
▪ Regularly collect sector data and market intelligence that facilitates extraction of 
insights and the organisation’s understanding of the market dynamics.
▪ Execute regional tourism promotion programmes in order to increase awareness 
and visibility of destination offers.
▪ Disseminate relevant information related to in the designated region to enhance 
awareness of product offerings and events that would be of interest to identified 
stakeholders.
Qualifications and Personal attributes:
• Full Form V/ Grade 12 School Certificate.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or equivalent. 
• At least 1-year work experience in a similar environment.
• Must be a member of the Zambia Institute of Marketing (ZIM). 
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Computer literate.
• Interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
